(ECNS) - A train police officer in southern China has earned widespread praise online after a video showing him holding a passenger's baby went viral on social media.
Last Wednesday, on a train from Guangzhou to Liuzhou, officer Zhang Xinshuai was patrolling Car No. 8 when a passenger asked if he could help look after her infant child.
The moment was captured on video by another traveler and shared online, with netizens calling him "the most trusted stranger" and a "train cop turned super dad."
Zhang said it was his first time holding a baby and admitted feeling nervous at first, but added that it's all part of his duty.
"I'm here to help passengers with any problems they encounter," he said.
